Nature has no mercy at all. Nature says, “I’m going to snow. If you have on a bikini and no snowshoes, that’s tough. I am going to snow anyway.”

Mission: To grow a consulting corporation founded upon integrity and dedicated to providing environmental services for the benefit and enjoyment of our clients, employees, stakeholders and alliances.
Zimar & Associates, Inc. was created in 1997 by Don Zimar to provide arboricultural consulting services in Northern Virginia. Since then we have provided these services to homeowners, associations, government organizations and builders and developers of every size.
We believe it is our duty to our client to provide them with the most up-to-date information based on scientific research and years of experience so that they can make the best decisions possible regarding the trees, forests, and natural resources on their properties. We do this by performing thorough site evaluations and presenting the information with realistic recommendations in a clear and concise manner that is useful to the client. It is our goal to become the primary source of information that clients rely upon to make informed decisions about the management of their trees, landscapes, and natural areas.
Zimar & Associates, Inc. believes that the right way to manage landscapes is to integrate and duplicate natural systems and processes that enhance the health and vitality of the plant communities and reduce adverse affects on the environment. We also believe it is important to maintain the landscape in a manner that protects the natural resources and enhances property values as well as provides for the overall safety of residents. Our programs demonstrate that these values can be integrated in a cost effective and environmentally sustainable program. We look forward to helping you integrate these concepts into the landscape management of your property.
Zimar & Associates, Inc. has worked closely with various jurisdictional agencies and staff. We enjoy a positive working relationship with many of the staff arborists in Northern Virginia, Washington DC, Maryland and many other localities in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
